Here's a look at an original issue of the 1/25 Monogram '50 Ford F-1 Pickup, kit #2457, released in 1995. While this original version can only be built stock, a later issue included custom wheels and tires, an ARDUN cylinder head option for the flathead, and other period custom parts. IMHO, this is one of Monogram's best kits ever, and well worth pickup up if you have the chance. Top of the box, one of Monogram's 11.625" x 9.25" x 3.75" larger sized boxes: Instruction and decal sheets: Here's what you see when you open the box. No separately bagged clear parts back then: Speaking of the clear parts, left and right side windows, rear cab, windshield, and two nicely engraved headlight lenses are included. Both the rear window and windshield have molded in perimeter gaskets, so those need to be careful detail painted: Two transparent red tail light lenses are also included: Five vinyl bias-ply tires are included, the fifth one for the spare, all of which have separately molded white styrene sidewall inserts. Definitely a bit too fancy for a typical entry level 1950 pickup, but very nicely molded: Chrome plated parts and detail pics of a few of those parts The balance of the parts, molded in a light blue color to match the box art model: Detail images of the blue parts: Cab, bed, and other body related parts: Hood: Bed floor/front fenders: Cab floor, with excellent engraved rubber floor mat detail:
